Mr. Carroll S. Keim

Ms. Kathleen Ransome, Managing Director, The Equity Partners

As Managing Director of The Equity Partners, Kathleen brings over 20 years of economic and financial experience to this arena. Her experience ranges from merger & acquisition activity with small to very large ($1.1B and $2.6B) transactions, to valuation services, contract negotiations, and market research. She has also provided Expert Witness services on a range of bottled-water related cases.

More recently, she has led projects designed to increase share-holder value in the bottled water industry. She has conducted feasibility studies for product and business launches in Africa, South America, Asia, and Europe, as well as in North America. She was invited by the Vietnamese government to conduct a market study for a bottled water company in that country, and was the lead person on a World Bank financed study for export of bottled water for the Ethiopian Beverages Corporation.

Ms. Ransome has been active in the International Bottled Water Association, serving on the International Relations, Member Services, Membership, Communications, and Government Relations Committees. Additionally, she has published numerous articles on the economics of the industry.

Her knowledge of finance and economics as well as her understanding of business management came from her six years as founder and owner of Ransome Associates, a financial planning and business advisory service. She advised family-owned entrepreneurial companies through changing tax and estate planning situations, as well as managing the exit strategies for some business owners.

Ms. Ransome is a Certified Financial Planner, and has passed the Series 63 exam, the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam, designed to qualify her as a securities agent. Further, she has studied business at Babson College, Economics at Dartmouth College, and has a scientific background in her undergraduate work. She is a College Scholar, Magna Cum Laude, and Phi Beta Kappa graduate.
